Biologics Process Development, New Jersey
Anurag heads the Biologics Process Development at Bristol-Myers Squibb site located near Princeton, New Jersey. The department focuses on early stage development and also supports research discovery, late stage development, and commercial biologics manufacturing across the BMS network. The activities in his group range from molecular biology and analytics, cell line development, upstream development, downstream development, and associated high-throughput process development analytics. Previously, Anurag was the head of cell culture process sciences group in Boehringer Ingelheim. He led late stage cell culture process development activities for Alprolix® at Biogen and headed a group responsible for internal and external process transfers for clinical and commercial manufacturing. Anurag started his career at Merck working on post approval development for large scale E. coli and fungal/bacterial fermentation processes. He and his teams have successfully implemented PAT tools to enable large scale continuous and fed-batch cell culture.
