Dr. Seth is part of the Senior Management Team at Cipla Biotec. As the Head- Technology Management Dr. Seth is responsible for building, leading and supervising a technical management team responsible for identification, development, implementation and transfer of bioprocessing and analytical technologies required for Cipla Biotec products while providing technical leadership and strategic guidance to Cipla Biotec to meet its business goals.

Prior to joining Cipla Biotec, Dr. Seth was a Technical Development Lead and a Group Leader in Bioprocess Development organization at Genentech, Inc., South San Francisco, California, USA. Dr. Seth is a renowned expert in cell line development, cell culture process development and implementation of large-scale processes in GMP and has led various cross functional teams and efforts to gain fundamental insights into protein production processes. At Genentech, Dr. Seth conceptualized a novel approach to start upstream manufacturing runs (FASTEC) and introduced it as a platform option in GMP to improve manufacturing efficiency and flexibility, resulting in cost savings. After eight years at Genentech, Dr. Seth was Associate Vice President- R&D at Intas Pharmaceuticals (Biopharma Division) leading Upstream, Downstream, Analytical Characterization, Bioassay and Drug Product Development functions to develop recombinant therapeutics, before joining Cipla.

Dr. Seth has a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Minnesota, USA. Her Ph.D. work focused on the elucidation of the role of epigenetic gene silencing in cholesterol dependence of NS0 cells and many other cell adaptation events. She was among the first to integrate transcriptome and proteome analyses to comprehend the genetic regulation of hyperproductivity traits of recombinant mammalian cells and engineer mammalian cells from a global perspective by exploring physiological landscapes. She has co-authored 18 scientific papers, a patent and has presented and chaired sessions at several international conferences.
