Dr. Hossler leads a cell culture team and various discovery/development interdisciplinary projects within the Process Sciences Department at AbbVie Bioresearch Center in Worcester, MA.  His team is primarily responsible for supporting biologics upstream process development and supporting GMP manufacturing for early stage projects from Preclinical to Phase III.  Pat has worked in the Process Sciences Department at AbbVie (and formerly Abbott) for over 8 years.  In this time he has contributed to multiple projects that have advanced to late-stage clinical testing.  Prior to joining Abbott, he worked in late-stage cell culture process development as a member of the Technical Operations group of Bristol-Myers Squibb, Co., in East Syracuse, NY.  His interests and research work encompass the relationship between upstream process development and the resulting impact on process performance and product quality attributes.  Pat is a frequent speaker at conferences, and has authored several, well-cited journal publications and patent filings on protein quality control.
